Envelope Delay
Measurement
Definition : Envelope Delay is the differential
coefficient of a curve which shows the
relation between the Video Frequency and
Phase. It is used in contrast to differential
phase (DP) which is the differential
coefficient of a curve showing the relation
between signal level and phase. Envelope
Delay is expressed as d/dw which is the
differential coefficient of Phase Delay where
= Phase and w = Angular Video Frequency
