MrsCox,41,isthefirstsittingMPtobekilledsince1990,whenIanGowwasthelastinastring
ofpoliticianstodieatthehandsofNorthernIrishterrorgroups.
ThearrestedmanwasnamedlocallyasTommyMair.

LabourleaderMrCorbynsaidthecountrywouldbe"inshockatthehorrificmurder",describing
theMPasa"muchlovedcolleague".

soundedlikeaballoonburstaloudballoon".
"WhenIlookedroundthere'samanstoodthereinhis50swithawhitebaseballcaponanda
jacketwithagun,anoldfashionedlookingguninhishand,"hesaid.

"Heshotthisladyonceandthenheshotheragain,hefelltothefloor,leantovershotheronce
moreinthefacearea.

screamingandwentoutside.

"Therewasaguywhowasbeingverybraveandanotherguywithawhitebaseballcapwhohe
wastryingtocontrolandthemaninthebaseballcapsuddenlypulledagunfromhisbag".
Afterabriefscuffle,hesaidthemansteppedbackandtheMPbecameinvolved.
MrAbdallahsaidtheweaponhad"lookedhandmade"andamanwhohadbeenwrestlingwith
thegunmancontinuedevenafterseeingthegun.
Hesaid:"Themansteppedbackwiththegunandfireditandthenhefiredasecondshot,ashe
wasfiringhewaslookingdownattheground."

"Hewaskickingherasshewaslyingonthefloor",hesaid.
Herhusband,Brendan,hassincetweetedapictureofhiswifestandingbythesideoftheRiver
ThamesinLondon.
DavidCameronalsotweetedtoexpresshiscondolences.
MrKerrysaid:"Itisanassaultoneverybodywhocaresaboutandhasfaithindemocracy."
