SWOT Analysis
The following is the SWOT Analysis of KPMG R.G. Manabat and Co., Iloilo Office, as a
practicum venue.

o They expose the trainees to real world accounting transactions and

situations.
o Allows trainees participation in preparing documents and financial
statements.
o Trainees are taught how to do the assigned tasks. Nevertheless, they

also allow trainees to use their initiative in performing certain tasks.

o Theories learned from the universities can be significantly applied in
their workplace.
o Trainees are respected and also given importance similar to what the

Trainees are provided allowances at the end of their practicum.
Trainees are not fully utilized; idle periods are common.
Trainees are not strictly monitored when working.
The workplace is a little bit disordered.
Trainees could join the associates in their field work and in dealing
with their clients provided that the practicum would also start at an

earlier time (e.g. 4th week of March).

o It would be better if the trainees will also be exposed to other
accounting-related activities of the company like for example, filling
up the tax returns, etc.
o It would be better if the trainees will be given orientation by the

company before their practicum starts.

o There are a lot of other firms who can give a similar or even greater
practicum experience than the KPMG R.G. Manabat and Co.

Manabat and Co., as they eat outside to celebrate our first day.

ENJOYING OURSELVES ON THE LAST DAY: Reggie, Joshua and I enjoyed

our last day as the associates together with our supervisor gave us a despedida
party.
