Flashing for Windows

This is usually a lot easier for most cards (if unlocked) However if you card is
bios locked you will need to do the above to flash your card.
1) Download ATIWINFLASH
2) extract it to C:\ATIFLASH
3) Open an administrative CMDD prompt
4) type cd C:\ATIFLASH
5) type ATIFLASH.EXE -s 0 0.ROM (this will download gpu slot 0's bios rom to the
ATIFLASH folder). You can do this for other cards attached also as follows:
ATIFLASH.EXE -s 1 1.ROM (gpu slot 1)
ATIFLASH.EXE -s 2 2.ROM (gpu slot 2)
Leave the CMD prompt open.
7) Create a backup folder on your machine. Store a copy of all the roms. Dont us
e those roms for editing.
8) run VBE7 now. Select "open" and read the ROMS from your non-backup, C:\AATIFL
ASH folder. Click "powerplay" tab. The correct state should already be selected,
but its state 1.
9) On the last and second to last numbers (mine are #4 and #0) you will see the
VDDC.
10) Change both of them to 1100. Do not change the MEM nor CORE CLOCK. Those you
can change inside cgminer 3.7.2
11) Save the bios rom as 0_NEW.ROM Notice we append _NEW to the filename. Do tha
t for any additional roms on your USB stick. Not overwriting them.
12) FLASH the BIOS. (you are on some sort of a battery backup I do hope here)
13) Back at CMD prompt type ATIFLASH.EXE -f -p 0 0_NEW.ROM
14) wait for the confirmation message.
15) It will tell you to reboot. If you are on a APC, go ahead and flash the othe
r cards using the correct name for their files _NEW BIOS roms.
If you are not on an APC...for some reason...Reboot now and Repeat on the other
cards 1 at a time.

gged into your APC. You will see the differences with no load, but wow will you
see the difference this makes when mining under full load! Report back values pl
