home, it may seem like society is now gearing up for learning from home without having to be
physically present in class. Having a formal education from home entails several issues that may
potentially be problematic for the institution and the individual. Therefore, this paper will contest
thatreceivingaformaleducationisbetterdoneinaclassroomsettingthanathome.

While learning for the sake of gaining knowledge can be conducted anywhere, formal
educationentailsamorewholesomeandintimateexperienceforthelearnerintermsofdeveloping
himself not only academically, but socially as well. A classroom setting will set the right tone and
mood for learning even if the teacher conducts an outdoor lesson, as it isvital to have a student
teacher relationship with each other. An active learning ensures that the learner is able to
communicatewellwithhisteachersandpeers.Whiletheinternettooallowsusersdothatwiththe
presence of online forums and portals, the facetoface factor is sorely lacking. This will result in

Secondly, formal learning also means having to sit through assessments such as class
quizzesandfinalexaminations.Aclassroomsettingwouldbeabletoensuretheteacherthatallthe

However,formaleducationfromhomewillhindertheprogressofthesocietyasthereisnotenough

Therefore, I believe that with the danger that the internet possess to young and nave
learners, it is better to receive formal education in school to ensure a wholesome development
