    The memorandum requiring some importers to obtain clearance from the Office of the Commissioner (OCOM) in order to secure the release of certain imported beverages, spirits, and juices has been withdrawn by the Philippine Bureau of Customs (BOC). Customs Commissioner Alberto Lina, in a memorandum dated June 20 and signed June 21, revoked the memorandum dated June 6 that required all importations covered by the Harmonized System (HS) Codes 20.09, 22.01, 22.02, 22.03, 22.04, 22.05, 22.06, 22.07, and 22.08, including riders, to first get clearance from OCOM to secure their release.

    Effective June 23, 2016, the Memorandum dated June 6, 2016 is hereby
    revoked. The procedure for cargo clearance of the following HS Codes: 20.09; 22.01;
    22.02; 22.03; 22.04; 22.05; 22.06; 22.07; and 22.08 before the issuance of the
    afore-stated Memorandum shall be followed.
    For strict compliance.
