Conditional Tense

IAN

IAN has a condition.


Ian’s condition makes him use accent marks on every ending.

IF I had a million dollars, THEN I would help him.


Si tendría un millón dolares, ayudaría a el.

In Spanish, we use the conditional tense to produce “I would…” statements.

Yo Tú Ud, Nosotros Uds, Ellos,


Él, or Ella or Ellas
-ía -ías -ía -íamos -ían

This works for ALL verbs…-AR, -ER, and –IR.

There are 8 irregular verbs in the conditional tense:
