Price Control and Laws on Land Leasing

The current price levels and the cost of living increases in India are
due to unreasonable acts, rules and regulations regarding land
lease.

The philosophy “Ullubavanukae Nilam Sontham” – or ‘the land

will be belonging to / will be owned by the man who plough it’ is
totally against democracy and unethical. The very sad thing to note
is that democratic governments support this philosophy.

How could a law transfer the ownership rights of a piece of land

leased out for plough and reap benefits for both the parties against
the wishes of the owner of the asset?

Will a taxi be owned by the driver employed / or a person taken it

for hire?

Will a house be compulsorily transferred to a tenant at price fixed

by a government law?-simply because he lived in there for many
years? – without paying the market price to the owner?

Ultimately what happens? The owners leave the land without any
cultivation/ production activity. No owner is ready to take the risk
of leasing out for a harvest. Land owners are also afraid of
managing the lessee and take risk on the issues governing the land
lease.

Lots of cultivatable land is idle and hence the agricultural output

drastically reduced in India- especially in Tamilnadu. Unless
government come forward to reform the land leasing acts in favour
of the land owners the poverty can not be eradicated and no work
and output will be extracted from cultivatable land.
