Background
Student success within the online learning environment requires self-motivation and self-discipline. Lincoln College of Technology expects that each
student will participate substantially in the virtual classroom, communicating, incorporating, and processing new ideas.

Time Management
Students can log-on to the virtual campus at any time of day. However, students must adhere to the attendance policy and meet all deliverable
submission requirements, including deadlines. Commitment to a regular study schedule will help to ensure that you don't fall behind.

Self Direction
In the online environment, students must be active participants in the learning process, interacting with peers and instructors as appropriate. We
expect students to notify us immediately of any challenges, academic or otherwise, that may hinder their progress. Keep us informed so that we can
lend a helping hand.

Participation
Because involvement remains an integral component of the learning process, we expect each student to regularly logon to the virtual campus,
complete all assignments, and contribute to class discussions. Actively participate to receive the most from your online coursework.

Communication
Instructors will assess the quality of your work through your communications in the course. You will need to express your ideas through quality writing
and clarity of thought. Outline what you want to say, putting your thoughts in order and be sure to answer the questions posed. Remember that
frequent interaction with your fellow students and instructors may lead to friendships that last far beyond your stay in our Online Option programs.

Honesty
Dishonesty hampers the efforts of educators, whether in the traditional or online environments. Plagiarism, or the use of another's words or ideas,
without proper references, will not be tolerated and can lead to probation, suspension, or even dismissal. Cheating, or the violation of explicit or
implied rules of conduct, can carry the same penalties. We ask that students act with integrity in the classroom and in life.
