1. What Is Long Distance Learning?

Long distance learning allows students to complete high school, continuing

education and college courses without physically being on campus. Classes
may be taken online, through audio or videocassette instruction or by mail.

2. Long Distance Learning Options

Long distance learning, also called distance education, allows students to

earn course credits at the high school and college levels without setting foot on
campus. Distance education programs are available in nearly every discipline,
from English and mathematics to anthropology and neurobiology. At the
college level, students can earn associate's, bachelor's, master's and even
doctorate degrees through long distance learning programs.

Distance education courses can be taken online, through audio or video

tapes, through the mail or using a combination of methods. Some programs
combine off-site learning with on-site instruction by requiring students to take a
few classes or complete exams on campus. Many long distance learning
programs allow students to complete course work at their own pace, while
others use synchronous technology, such as Web or video conferencing, to
deliver lectures or course materials while all class members are online.

Long distance learning programs are a popular, convenient option for

students who are unable to take traditional classes. According to a study by the
National Center for Education Statistics, over 5.5 million students took at least
one online course in the fall of 2013.

Distance learning MBA Programs in Indonesia

Earning a master of business administration (MBA) is accomplished by

fulfilling the requirements of a graduate program at a business school. Many
schools offer full-time, part-time, or online options to earn your degree in
business management.

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is presented to graduates

upon completion of two years of advanced and specialized study covering
topics such as business, management, finance, and accounting. Earning an
MBA can give graduates a competitive edge over other job applicants in an
aggressive job market.

Dealing with public universities is far from an optimal option. Private

schools provide much better assistance in your distance learning experience.
Several online university draws teachers and students at great distances from all
over the world. This vastly increases the diversity in a distance learning
classroom and produces challenging conversation among those from hugely
divergent communities, regions, and distant cultures.

A. FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE

I wil be singing.

The Future Continuous tense is often used in English as a way to talk about
something happening at a given point in the future.

1. How do we make the Future Continuous Tense?

The structure of the Future Continuous tense is:

subject + auxiliary verb + auxiliary verb + main verb

WILL BE
invariable Invariable present participle
will Be base + ing

For negative sentences in the Future Continuous tense, we

insert not between will and be. For question sentences, we exchange
the subject and will. Look at these example sentences with the Future
Continuous tense:

Subject Auxiliary Auxiliary Main

Verb Verb Verb
+ I will be working at 10am.
+ You will be lying on a beach
tomorrow.
- She will not be using the car.
- We wil not be having dinner at home.
? Will you be playing Football?
? Will they be watching TV?
We sometimes use shall instead of will, especially for I and we.

2. Contraction with Future Continuous

When we use the Future Continuous tense in speaking, we often contract the
subject and WILL:

I will I'll
you will you'll
he will he'll
she will she'll
it will it'll
we will we'll

they will they'll

In negative sentences, we may contract with won't, like this:

I will not I won't

you will not you won't
he will not he won't
she will not she won't
it will not it won't
we will not we won't
they will not they won't

3. How do we use the Future Continuous Tense?

The Future Continuous tense expresses action at a particular moment in the

future. The action will have started before that moment but it will not have
finished at that moment. For example, tomorrow I will start work at 2pm and
stop work at 6pm:

At 4pm tomorrow, I will be working.

past Present future

4pm
At 4pm, I will be in the
middle of working.

When we use the Future Continuous tense, our listener usually knows or
understands what time we are talking about. Look at these examples:

 I will be playing tennis at 10am tomorrow.

 They won't be watching TV at 9pm tonight.
 What will you be doing at 10pm tonight?
 What will you be doing when I arrive?
 She will not be sleeping when you telephone her.
 We'll be having dinner when the film starts.
 Take your umbrella. It will be raining when you return.

4. Functions

The future continuous refers to an unfinished action or event that will be in

progress at a time later than now. The future continuous is used for quite a few
different purposes.

The future continuous can be used to project ourselves into the future.

Examples

 This time next week I will be sun-bathing in Bali.

 By Christmas I will be skiing like a pro.
 Just think, next Monday you will be working in your new job.

The future continuous can be used for predicting or guessing about future
events.

Examples

 He'll be coming to the meeting, I expect.

 I guess you'll be feeling thirsty after working in the sun.
 You'll be missing the sunshine once you're back in England.

In the interrogative form, the future continuous can be used to ask politely for
information about the future.

Examples

 Will you be bringing your friend to the pub tonight?

 Will Jim be coming with us?
 Will she be going to the party tonight?
 Will I be sleeping in this room?

The future continuous can be used to refer to continuous events that we expect
to happen in the future.

Examples

 I'll be seeing Jim at the conference next week.

 When he is in Australia he will be staying with friends.
 I'll be eating with Jane this evening so I can tell her.

When combined with still, the future continuous refers to events that are
already happening now and that we expect to continue some time into the
future.
Examples

 In an hour I'll still be ironing my clothes.

 Tomorrow he'll still be suffering from his cold.
 Next year will she still be wearing a size six?
 Won't stock prices still be falling in the morning?
 Unfortunately, sea levels will still be rising in 20 years.
B. FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Future Perfect Continuous has two different forms: "will have been doing " and
"be going to have been doing." Unlike Simple Future forms, Future Perfect
Continuous forms are usually interchangeable.

1. FORM Future Perfect Continuous with "Will"

[will have been + present participle]

Examples:

 You will have been waiting for more than two hours when her plane
finally arrives.
 Will you have been waiting for more than two hours when her plane
finally arrives?
 You will not have been waiting for more than two hours when her
plane finally arrives.

2. FORM Future Perfect Continuous with "Be Going To"

[am/is/are + going to have been + present participle]

Examples:

 You are going to have been waiting for more than two hours when her
plane finally arrives.
 Are you going to have been waiting for more than two hours when her
plane finally arrives?
 You are not going to have been waiting for more than two hours when
her plane finally arrives.
NOTE: It is possible to use either "will" or "be going to" to create the Future
Perfect Continuous with little or no difference in meaning.

a. USE 1 Duration Before Something in the Future

We use the Future Perfect Continuous to show that something will continue up
until a particular event or time in the future. "For five minutes," "for two
weeks," and "since Friday" are all durations which can be used with the Future
Perfect Continuous. Notice that this is related to the Present Perfect Continuous
and the Past Perfect Continuous; however, with Future Perfect Continuous, the
duration stops at or before a reference point in the future.

Examples:

 They will have been talking for over an hour by the time Thomas
arrives.
 She is going to have been working at that company for three years
when it finally closes.
 James will have been teaching at the university for more than a year by
the time he leaves for Asia.
 How long will you have been studying when you graduate?
 We are going to have been driving for over three days straight when
we get to Anchorage.
 A: When you finish your English course, will you have been living in
NewZealand for over a year?
B: No, I will not have been living here that long.
Notice in the examples above that the reference points (marked in italics) are in
Simple Present rather than Simple Future. This is because these future events
are in time clauses, and you cannot use future tenses in time clauses.

b. USE 2 Cause of Something in the Future

Using the Future Perfect Continuous before another action in the future is a
good way to show cause and effect.

Examples:

 Jason will be tired when he gets home because he will have been
jogging for over an hour.
 Claudia's English will be perfect when she returns to Germany because
she is going to have been studying English in the United States for
over two years.

3. Function

Like the future perfect simple, this form is used to project ourselves forward in
time and to look back. It refers to events or actions in a time between now and
some future time are unfinished. It is most often used with a time expression.

Examples

 I will have been waiting here for three hours by six o'clock.
 By 2001 I will have been living in London for sixteen years.
 When I finish this course, I will have been learning English for twenty
years.
 Next year I will have been working here for four years.
 When I come at 6:00, will you have been practicing long?

 Future Continuous vs. Future Perfect Continuous

If you do not include a duration such as "for five minutes," "for two weeks" or
"since Friday," many English speakers choose to use the Future Continuous
rather than the Future Perfect Continuous. Be careful because this can change
the meaning of the sentence. Future Continuous emphasizes interrupted actions,
whereas Future Perfect Continuous emphasizes a duration of time before
something in the future. Study the examples below to understand the difference.

Examples:

 He will be tired because he will be exercising so hard.

This sentence emphasizes that he will be tired because he will be
exercising at that exact moment in the future.
 He will be tired because he will have been exercising so hard.
This sentence emphasizes that he will be tired because he will have been
exercising for a period of time. It is possible that he will still be
exercising at that moment OR that he will just have finished.

 REMEMBER No Future in Time Clauses

Like all future forms, the Future Perfect Continuous cannot be used in clauses
beginning with time expressions such as: when, while, before, after, by the
time, as soon as, if, unless, etc. Instead of Future Perfect Continuous, Present
Perfect Continuous is used.

Examples:
 You won't get a promotion until you will have been working here as
long as Tim. Not Correct
 You won't get a promotion until you have been working here as long as
Tim. Correct

 AND REMEMBER Non-Continuous Verbs / Mixed Verbs

It is important to remember that Non-Continuous Verbs cannot be used in any

continuous tenses. Also, certain non-continuous meanings for Mixed Verbs
cannot be used in continuous tenses. Instead of using Future Perfect Continuous
with these verbs, you must use Future Perfect.

Examples:

 Ned will have been having his driver's license for over two years. Not
Correct
 Ned will have had his driver's license for over two years. Correct

 ADVERB PLACEMENT

The examples below show the placement for grammar adverbs such as: always,
only, never, ever, still, just, etc.

Examples:

 You will only have been waiting for a few minutes when her plane
arrives.
 Will you only have been waiting for a few minutes when her plane
arrives?
 You are only going to have been waiting for a few minutes when her
plane arrives.
 Are you only going to have been waiting for a few minutes when her
plane arrives?

 ACTIVE / PASSIVE

Examples:

 The famous artist will have been painting the mural for over six
months by the time it is finished. Active
 The mural will have been being painted by the famous artist for over
six months by the time it is finished. Passive

 The famous artist is going to have been painting the mural for over six
months by the time it is finished. Active
 The mural is going to have been being painted by the famous artist for
over six months by the time it is finished. Passive

NOTE: Passive forms of the Future Perfect Continuous are not common.
