The construction work for the Lynnet Leisure’s restaurant, bars

Client: and club involved a major refurbishment of this high profile city
Lynnet Leisure centre Grade A listed property in Royal Exchange square.

Project Value: The project involved refurbishing the home of One Up, the winner of many
£2,500k prestigious awards such as “Nightclub of the Year”. One Up was named as
Scotland’s most stylish venue at the 2007 Scottish Style Awards.

Approach
26 weeks This project was particularly complex as the development was located within an
existing 5 storey listed building, in Glasgow city centre. The programming and co-
ordinating of deliveries was therefore of paramount importance. With the phased
opening of the first floor, and existing offices on the fifth floor, the segregation and
management of both the existing user and members of the public was a critical
factor in the success of this project.

The construction was phased with the front elevations completed first to enable
the bars and restaurant to open, whilst works continued to the rear section and
basement, where additional bars and nightclub were to be located.

air and smoking terrace areas. With the complex now incorporating two bars, a
nightclub and a traditional chic styled restaurant it provides an unrivalled service
with each venue having its own terrace or patio.

Glasgow city centre. The development work has created a venue with a powerful
blend of comfort and style, and just a touch of glamour.
