Replacing the MaxFire Convection Fan Capacitor

MaxFire (3000 – 9800)

Tools needed to replace the convection fan capacitor:


ƒ Philips head screw driver
ƒ 9/16” socket wrench
ƒ Side cutters
ƒ Cable ties

• Unplug the stove.

• Remove the left side panel.

• Clip the cable tie holding the wires of the capacitor.

• Unplug the two spade terminals from the capacitor. (See Figure 1).

• Loosen the 9/16” nut on the capacitor. (See Figure 2).

• Remove the capacitor from the bracket.

• Install the new capacitor and tighten the nut.

• Reconnect the spade terminals.

• Replace the cable tie.

• Plug in the stove.

• Check for proper operation.

• Put the left side panel back on.
