Introduction
Today’s class 5 min Greetings, what the class is about.

Core of the class


Pre-stage

Listening, speaking 10 min Students look at the picture in page 31. They compare
themselves to the kids in it and explain which one of the
pictures looks similar to them.

10 min Students look carefully to the picture and analyze


personalities of the people in it. The teacher will ask them
to describe their personalities out loud.

10 min Students listen to the recording and try to get the main idea
out of it. The teacher will ask them to tell her why they
figured out the main idea of the recording and identify
comparatives; the teacher will give a brief but clear
definition, using examples of comparatives.

While-stage
Listening, writing 10 min Students listen to the recording again, and complete the
activities in page 31. The teacher checks using data, asking
some students to come to the board and do the activities on
it.

5 min Students complete the chart in page 32 with adjectives and


their comparatives.

5 min The teacher helps students with phonetics, so students can


identify the proper pronunciation of sh. A recording will
also be played to help students.
