LITTLE ROCK ² A nearly three-hour standoff between a special weapons and tactics team and
a North Little Rock man ended peacefully Saturday afternoon.

About 11:10 a.m., North Little Rock police were called to 1109 W. 20th St. to reports that
Donnell Davis Jr., 30, had slapped his girlfriend, Christy Henderson, and poured beer in her
hair, according to an arrest report.

Davis then pointed a long barrel gun at Henderson and threatened to kill her, the report said.

The two were outside the house when police arrived, but upon seeing the officers, Davis fled
back into the house, said North Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Terry Kuykendall.

Henderson was taken to the investigative division of the Police Department to give a statement,
but Davis refused to leave the house, the report said. The police then called in the SWAT team.

About 1:50 p.m., Davis reportedly walked outside and was taken into custody.

Davis was arrested on charges of aggravated assault on a family or household member,

terroristic threatening, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a defaced
firearm and a misdemeanor of obstructing a government operation.

Lt. Carl Minden, spokesman for the Pulaski County sheriff¶s office, said Davis is named in a
felony warrant for failure to appear, which was issued in June 2009. Kuykendall said Davis also
was named in a North Little Rock misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear.
Davis was being held Saturday evening at the Pulaski County jail. Bail had not been set.

Kuykendall said Henderson was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock for
treatment of unspecified injuries. Her condition wasn¶t known Saturday evening.
