A. Introduction
Equipment Affected
This bulletin applies to all Harlan Tractors when the rear brake calipers are upgraded from the
following:
 02026-0111, Caliper, Brake Assy, L.H. and 02026-0112 Brake Caliper Assembly, RH or
 02026-0347, Brake Caliper (Left/Dual) and 02026-0348, Brake Caliper (Right Dual) to
02026-0544, Brake Caliper, loaded LH / RH.

02026-0544, Brake Caliper, loaded LH / RH
Background
Harlan Global Manufacturing replaced position specific rear brake calipers 02026-0111,
02026-0112, 02026-0347 and 02026-0348 with the 02026-0544, which can be configured for any
position on 2-caliper and 4-caliper rear axles.

C. Required Actions
2-Caliper Axles
The 02026-0544 Caliper is complete and ready to install on 2-caliper axles. Each caliper has two
ports for brake hose connections. Use one and leave the other one plugged.

4-Caliper Axles with Two Tees


Tractors with 4 four rear calipers and no front brakes have two tees on the rear axle.

1. Install the rear calipers as shown with the ports facing towards the center of the axle.
2. Install two 02015-0002 Hoses between the front tee and the front calipers.
3. Install two 02015-0002 Hoses between the rear tee and the rear calipers.
Note: The plugged ports can be in the upper or lower positions. Consistency is
recommended, but not required.

4-Caliper Axles with Single Tees


Tractors with four rear calipers and front brakes have one tee on the rear axle.

1. Install the calipers on the axle as shown in


Figure 1, Dual Tee, 4-Caliper Installation.
2. Remove the plugs from the front calipers.
3. Connect a 02015-0002 brake hose from each side of the tee to
the to the lower port of each front caliper.
4. Connect a 02026-0574 caliper-to-caliper hose between the upper ports of the front and rear
calipers on each side of the axle. Fasten each end of the caliper-to-caliper hose using one
02000056171 Hollow Bolt and two 00700830221 copper washers as shown. Note that the
recessed side of the hose connection (Inset) faces the caliper.
5. Leave the lower ports on the rear calipers plugged.
