The E150 is a lightweight hydraulically driven submersible pump that is ideal

for recovered oil transfer operations, as well as other duties. The pump is
constructed with low weight and power consumption in mind.
This portable and versatile all-purpose pump may also be used for bilge
pumping, job site dewatering and transferring oil from barges, bladders and
other temporary storage devices.
The E150 pump is offered with the Elastec TDS118, TDS136 and Magnum 100
drum skimmer packages.

The E150 pump does not require routine maintenance as long as:
 The pump does not run dry continuously.

 The pump discharge volume is adequate.
 No oil leakage is present.
If maintenance becomes necessary, follow this procedure:

(Tools required for disassembly: one 1/2” wrench, one 1/4” Allen wrench,
one 3/8-16 bolt (for removing impeller)
1. Remove the hydraulic hoses from the pump.
2. Remove the four 5/16” x 3/4” bolts from the pump adapter.
3. Remove the pump adapter and motor assembly from the volute.
4. Check for debris and wear in volute; clean or replace if wear is excessive.
5. Remove the socket head cap screw from the motor shaft.
6. Install 3/8-16 bolt into impeller until it hits shaft. Then turn until impeller is
removed.
7. Check the impeller for wear and replace if necessary.
8. Remove key in the shaft.
9. Remove two 5/16” x 3/4” and two 5/16” x 1” bolts from hydraulic motor and
remove motor. The handle will be removed during this process.
10. Check pump adapter for wear and replace if wear is extreme.
11. Do not disassemble hydraulic motor. If hydraulic motor needs service, a

qualified technician from Elastec should perform it.
12. Remove the old seal (refer to pages 8-9 below for detailed instructions).
13. Install new seal; make sure the seal is seated in the bottom of adapter plate.
14. Reassemble pump by reversing procedure. Torque impeller bolt to 23 ft lbs.
15. Test run and check for oil leakage before returning pump to service.

3/4” bolts that secure the pump adapter assembly from the volute.

3. Use 1/4” Allen wrench to remove the socket head cap screw from the impeller, employing a
screwdriver to maintain pressure on the impeller so the cap screw can be removed.
4. Using a 9/16” wrench, install a 3/8” - 16 bolt into the hole from which the cap screw has just
been removed, until the bolt hits the impeller. Turn the bolt until impeller can be removed.

WARRANTY

Elastec (“Seller”) warrants and guarantees that articles supplied are free
from defects in materials and workmanship. However, Seller’s liability here-
under is limited to making good by replacement or repair without charge to
Buyer any such defects as arise within the period of one year from dispatch of
the articles (with the exceptions listed below), provided always that Seller is
notified of those defects in writing within 14 days of their discovery and that
the defective parts, where reasonable, are promptly sent carriage paid to
Seller’s premises. Such liability shall not extend to such faults as are caused
by ordinary wear and tear, incorrect handling of the articles or their defective
maintenance or storage. Seller’s obligation under this warranty is limited
solely to repairing or replacing parts that in its judgment are defective in
material and/or workmanship.
The guarantee contained in the clause above shall constitute Seller’s sole
liability for latent and other defects and is in full exclusion of any warranty or
liability whatsoever implied of common law, statute or otherwise as to the
quality of the goods, their fitness for any particular purpose, their
merchantability or otherwise, and Seller shall not be liable for the
consequential loss, injury or damage of any nature whatsoever arising
out of or in connection with the supply of the articles
Limitation:
Elastec is not liable for expenses incurred in repairs or alterations made
outside its factories or licensed dealer locations without prior authorization,
nor shall it be responsible for the performance of this product to which any
revisions or alterations have been made by others.

Items not covered by Elastec warranty:

 Products that have been subjected to alteration, modification, neglect or
repairs.
 Products no longer owned by the original purchasers.
 Products suffering shipping or freight damage, normal wear, accident,
improper maintenance or improper protection in storage.
 Rental costs, return transportation cost of product to Seller’s place of
business or phone communications.
 Any repeat or shop comeback repairs resulting from poor service work,
improper diagnosis or testing. Replacement of parts as a trial and error
method of diagnosis will not be considered for warranty.
 Replacement parts other than those sold or supplied by Elastec.
 Natural calamities such as fire, flood, etc.
 In the case of components or accessories that have been supplied to
Buyer’s design, Seller shall be under no liability to replace or repair defects
arising therefrom.
 Any damage caused by failure to immediately correct a known or suspected
problem.
