LUKE One of the criminals who

23:39 hung there hurled insults

at Him.

“Aren’t You the Christ?

Save Yourself and us.”
LUKE But the other criminal
23:40 rebuked him,

“Don’t you fear God?” he

said, “since you are under
the same sentence?”
LUKE “We are punished justly,
23:41 for we are getting, what
our deeds deserved.

But this man has done

nothing wrong.”
LUKE Then he said to Jesus,
23:42
“Remember me when You
come into Your kingdom. ”
LUKE Jesus answered,
23:43
“I tell you the truth, today
you will be with me in
paradise.”
Jeremiah This is what the Lord says,

9:23-24 “let not the wise man boast of his

wisdom or the strong man boast of his
strength, or the rich man boast of his
riches”

“But let him who boasts, boast about

this, that he understands and knows me
that I am the Lord, who exercises
kindness, justice and righteous on
earth, for in these I delight.”
