1.0 Learning Unit

“Recipient of several historic preservation awards, this urban campus encompasses a historic
building, Performing Arts Center, parking garage, plaza space, and an amphitheater-like stadium.
The historic building houses general classrooms, labs, art rooms, administration, the library, and
the commons. The new Performing Arts Center contains gymnasium space, a state of the art
theater, music rooms, weight training, drafting, dance/aerobic studio, and a woodworking shop.

Significant site challenges and unforeseen conditions were overcome during construction in
compliance with Landmark historic requirements. Improved circulation, more natural daylight, and
an energy efficient design allows for a unique learning environment within this local landmark.”
