On Wednesday July 21st 2010 the Auburn Police Department released our Top 10 Most
Wanted Fugitive List. The list was emailed to several local law enforcement agencies
and posted on our department website.
Approximately fifteen minutes after the list was sent out, Deputy United States Marshal
Christopher Amoia from the Syracuse, NY Field Office called the Auburn Police
Department stating he had one of our fugitives in custody. Arrested was Joseph Michael
Hares after he was spotted by Deputy Amoia in the Elbridge area.
The list profiles the Auburn Police Department’s ten most wanted fugitives and lists them
in no particular order. Anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of these
individuals is encouraged to contact the Auburn Police Department at 315-253-3231.
