PROGRAMME (ABAD)

Deputy Secretary (Assembly), Chief Minister’s Secretariat vide

PUC has forwarded the request of Mr. Atta Ullah Khan, Nazim Union
Council ABBA Khel No.37 District Mianwali for including Union Council 37
in ABAD programme for examination and report on the issue.
The issue has been examined in consideration with Director
General, ABAD who has informed vide Flag “X” that currently ADB
assisted Sustainable Livelihood Barani Area Project is being implemented
in barani tract under ABAD. As per selection criteria of the project the
Union Councils with at least 75% barani area were included in project
area. He has further informed that as per report of DCO Mianwali the
Union Council No. 37 was not included in the project area as only 12% of
the Union Council area was barani.
May inform Chief Minister’s Secretariat accordingly.

The case has been examined in consultation with D.G. ABAD who has
informed that the project formulation stage all the DCO’s of the project areas where
requested to provide the list of all those union councils which were more than 75% Barani.
The than DCO Mianwali informed that union council Aba khel no 37 is 12% Barani, same
was not included in the project area.
Currently the project is in its second last year of implementation and any
change in the jurisdiction/area of the project is not possible.
May inform CM Secretariat accordingly.
