Reports on above subject have been received from Asian Development

Bank (ADB) and same is circulated by ECA Section for commenting. Comments of
BRDP were also invited this issue and same are placed at Flag “A”. This report contain
four chapters which includes project description, evaluation of design and
implementation, evaluation of performance and overall assessment and
recommendations. In overall assessment as the same is project completion report so view
of RP Section are on chapters four which relates to overall assessment and
recommendations. This project has successfully in terms of achievement of physical
targets of four out of five components. They are of the view that project have been more
effective in terms of impact and targeting if the process of delivery project interventions
have been focused to poverty deduction. They have also pointed out that there were
problem of design level which led to be scattered small interventions over a large areas.
As the project was design in consultation with ADB was commenting
regarding design of the project is not a relevant issue at the stage. Similarly targeting the
poverty in terms of deliverable is conceptual agreed but all deliverable were manage in
accordance with the criteria laid down in PC-I and appraisal reports. Moreover, the
project was infrastructure development project to remove regional disparities. In it was
not basically a project for a reduction of poverty.
