2000-03 Vice president for BP’s


renewables and alternative energy;
then vice president for holdings in
Russia, Caspian, northern Africa
regions
2003-08 President, CEO of
TNK-BP, a Russia-BP joint venture
2009 Becomes a BP director,
overseeing U.S. and Asia; June
2010, takes over BP’s response
to Gulf of Mexico spill
2010 Named new CEO of BP, the
first non-Briton to hold the position
