LEADer’s remark
It was really a very tough task to conduct the program
and it was a success due to the hard efforts of the team.
Being a Leader, I learnt many things such as teamwork,
marketing, organizing, managing things within given
resources, time management and most importantly managing
such a big crowd! I thank LEAD for all the support and
look forward to being involved in such activities in the future.
Reconstruction of houses
in flooded areas
As we all know, North Karnataka suffered heavy floods in 2009
and many people were rendered homeless. During that causality,
LEADers took initiation to raise money to help the flood victims. Within
2 weeks, LEADers raised more than Rs. 70000 and donated the money for
the reconstruction of houses. By June 20th, 2010, 3 houses were
reconstructed in Ron taluk of Gadag dist by using the money raised by
LEAD. The administration and professional cost incurred during
construction were contributed by Deshpande Foundation.
Apart from money, LEADers also collected clothes,
vessels, eatables and food grains and donated
to the flood victims.
