‘PANADOL SOLUBLE’ ROCKET

You will need : 

 35 mm film container (the clear ones have the best tops)

 A sheet of thin card (A4 ) will be enough to construct rocket

 Some sticky tape or cello tape

 ‘Panadol Soluble’ tablets

 Water

ROCKET PAPER INFORMATION

 Body — (6 x 9) cm

 Cone — (diameter 4.5 cm)

 Fin — (1.5 x 1.5) cm

1. Wrap and then tape a piece of thin card around the upside down film canister. Be careful to leave the rim of the
canister visible so you can push the lid on.
2. This is what your rocket body should look like.
3. Now tape the fins to the rocket body.
4. Draw a circle to make a suitable cone for your rocket. Shape it into a cone and tape it.
5. Attach the cone to your rocket. Your rocket is finished and is ready to take off!
6. Remove the canister lid, hold the rocket upside down.
7. Place a ‘Panadol Soluble’ tablet in the film canister.
8. Fill the canister 1/3 to 1/2 full of cool water, Replace the lid tightly.
9. Quickly place on ground right way up, stand back and watch.

DO NOT LEAN OVER ROCKET BEFORE IT HAS TAKEN OFF.


DO NOT PICK UP ROCKET UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THE GAS REACTION HAS FINISHED (fizzing and bubbling stops)
