High Pressure Baroreceptors are

only effective in the short term,
because their effective range is
limited. Because in our case there
are external factors (such as
decreased water volume) which
affect Blood pressure, this system is
not effective because the
Baroreceptors are trying to adapt to
the continuously falling blood
pressure, and vasoconstriction can
only work for so long...
