    Subject: RGV Levee call

    We had a good call with the Hidalgo County Judge and Cameron County staff today. SBI indicated
    that they are ready to look at the IBWC/County levee/border barrier proposals in more depth. The
    Judge appreciated our continued work on the proposal. The next step is for SBI to set up a meeting
    with the county's engineers. The goal is to do it next Tuesday, prior to the EIS session, while SBI staff
    are already in the area. I will defer to Chief Self re: including RGV Sector in any such meeting.

    As a side note, regarding the EIS sessions, neither county had any questions/concerns.
