What are Verbs?

There are three types of Verbs;


One is the Action Verbs. One
is Linking Verbs. The
last one is Helping Verbs.

Verbs have a major role in the English


Language and they must be in every
sentence.
Action Verbs
Actions Verbs are very important because these
verbs shows that something is doing
something.
Example: The stick person punched the other
stick person.
Linking Verbs
Unlike action verbs, linking verbs do not
express actions. It connects a subject with
additional information
Example:
The Soup. The soup is hot.
Helping Verbs
Helping Verbs help the main verb in a sentence
by extending its meaning. Helping verbs
show how time is used in a sentence.
Example:
Bob runs. Bob will be running in
the afternoon
