The 2011 Ford Explorer is adorned with more expressive styling and
overall refinement, a selection of new features plus greater comfort, and
best-in-class fuel economy.

The 2011 Explorer is available in base, XLT and Limited trims. The new
car-like body construction helped the Explorer lose 100lbs from it's
overall weight. It's designed with a more assertive front fascia and side
sculpting set off by blackout and body-color pillar treatments. Both
Explorer trims are fitted with Ford's Ti-VCT (Twin independent variable
camshaft timing)engine and paired with new six-speed automatic
transmissions. The base 3.5-liter V6 powers out 290 hp and 255 lb-ft of
torque. The 2011 Explorer also has another engine option - a more
efficient, turbocharged/direct-injected EcoBoost technology - 2.0-liter
four that gets 237 horsepower.

seats, power-adjustable pedals, dual-zone auto climate control, 12-
