What you need to know norvic training associates

Course Aims To train healthcare professionals in basic life support, simple Airway
Management and safe defibrillation (manual or AED) enabling them to
manage patients in cardiac arrest until the arrival of an ambulance or cardiac
team.
Suitable For Any healthcare professional who may be required to deal with a cardiac arrest
as a part of their occupational role.
Course 1 day
Length
Pre-requisite Delegates must be employed in an environment where this knowledge and
skill is required for genuine clinical reasons and evidence of this may be
requested on course booking.
Certification Delegates will receive a Norvic certificate of attendance, which is valid for
three years.

Course Open courses are held regularly at our training and conference centre in
Venue Taverham, Norwich or alternatively, courses can be arranged at your venue
anywhere in the UK, (subject to suitability).

• Basic life support • Basic airway and ventilation


• Introduction to cardiac arrest including LMA
rhythms • Monitoring cardiac arrest rhythms
• Defibrillation (manual and/or • The universal algorithm
AED) • Practical skill stations
• Drugs and delivery (optional)
