(Analysis)

Most of us when it comes to talking about "The Economy of materials," we only

have taught or have seen only one side of the coin where we see that all is well.
Starting at the extraction stage, after production, distribution, consumption and
finally Discard.

But one of us has been to analyze what the other side of the coin?, Not as
many as we are left with the idea of what others give us, we care more about
other trivial things that is happening in our world, our reality, our home.
While this documentary Annie Leonard tells the reality of North America,

A la mayoría de nosotros, cuando se trata de hablar sobre “La Economía de
materiales”, solo nos han enseñado o solo hemos observado una cara de la moneda
en donde vemos que todo marcha bien. Empezando por la fase de Extracción, luego
Producción, Distribución, Consumo y por último Descarte.

¿Pero alguno de nosotros se ha puesto a analizar qué es lo que hay al otro lado de la
moneda?, pues no ya que muchos nos quedamos con la idea de lo que los demás nos
dan, nos importa más otras cosas banales que lo que está pasando en nuestro
mundo, nuestra realidad, nuestro hogar.

Si bien en este documental Annie Leonard nos narra la realidad de Norteamérica,

específicamente los EE.UU, existe una relación directa con nuestro país, ya que al ser
un país dependiente o que ellos nos llaman “tercermundistas”, no estamos tan lejos de
terminar como los EE. UU. Esto se puede apreciar fácilmente en:

 Extracción: lo que comúnmente y sofisticadamente llaman “Explotación de

Recursos Naturales”, que no es más que la “Actividad para arruinar el planeta”.
Nadie dice que el explotar o extraer los recursos sea malo, pero el extraer los
recursos hasta desaparecerlos ¿no creen que lo es?
Al parecer el Perú no tiene la capacidad para explotar sus propios recursos
naturales pero permite que otros países vengan y lo hagan; como en el caso de
EE.UU que después de arruinar su país viene y quiere hacer lo mismo con
nosotros importándole solo su ganancia monetaria.

 Producción: esta es en si la fase un tanto más preocupante, ya que no solo es

el hecho de que se use demasiado recursos naturales, si no también está el
hecho de la utilización de químicos tóxicos, que no solo daña la naturaleza si
no también al mismo hombre; en otras palabras “No solo se desperdician
recursos, si no también personas”.
Por ejemplo el caso de los trabajadores de las fabricas que trabajan con dichos
tóxicos, ¿creen ustedes que ese toxico que consumen inhalándolo o tocándolo,
no les afecta?
Y no solo conformándose con realizar productos tóxicos también los hacen
desechables, es decir de poca duración.
En los EE.UU, solo el 1% de productos sigue siendo utilizado después de 6
meses, esto quiere decir que el 99% de cosas producidas después de 6 meses
son basura.

 Distribución y Consumo: es lo que más les importa a los que dominan la

economía mundial, quienes vienen a ser las “CORPORACIONES”.
Su meta en si es “Vender toda la chatarra toxica contaminada lo mas antes
posible” sin importarle nada más que sus propias ganancias.
