Arraignment @ 9:30 am Room 25 on the second floor

1. Roll call.
2. Officer starts passing out papers, to those who was called at roll.
3. Interpreting Spanish ---> English for those who are not native speakers.
4. 9: 41 am close all cellular phones and the judge takes a seat quietly.
5. Judge asks all do they know their rights as a citizen for a fair trial. (Do you understand your rights
etc;)
A. 1st person, DUI plead “No Contest” (3 months in DMV class; 30 days in county jail;
Dangerous to human life to drive under the influence -> Murder)
B. DUI plead “Guilty” to drinking + driving. 5 Years probation; 18 month DUI driving program.
C. DUI and collision to a parked car. Work project; plead “Not Guilty” and demanded an
attorney -> But no $$. He had to fill out some forms to see if he qualifies.
D. DUI; blood alcohol .16; crashed into a building; 30 days of restitution; 30 days county jail.
E. DUI; hit and run and property damage (prior instances?) blood alcohol of .14/.14; No license
and collision with officer. Accepted offer – Plead no contest.
F. DUI with suspended license; Blood alcohol .14/.15; Plead guilty.

Judge gets angry at another guy for mixing up another case with the one charged against him. He argued
with the judge that he has served these old sentences 3 times but the court records and jail records
show none so until it has been proven he really did his time, there would be no changes.
“Sir, I will not seat here and argue with you. Records say you did not serve the time.” - The Judge

6. Begins non interpretation cases and judge reads universal rights to everyone.
G. DUI; Plead no contest; w/o license.
H. As of now the prior cases are getting their form signed up in front.
I. DUI; Plead guilty; accepted 3 years probation.
J. DUI; Plead no contest; collision with genes; .14 blood alcohol.
K. DUI; .20 blood alcohol; resolve today – guilty; Driving w/o a license; unregister vehicle.
L. DYU .13/.14 blood alcohol. Wish to resolve – no contest; talk to DMV and ask for renewal of
license.
7. Judge cracks a joke about his kids.
M. DUI resolve no contest
N. DUI – first offense; guilty plea (3 yr probation)
O. DUI resolve guilty
P. DUI blood alcohol .20/.19; If he plead today it would be charged at .19 and serve two days in
work
Q. DUI
R. DUI
S. DUI no insurance; suspended license; stoplight violation guilty plea.
T. DUI .19/.1 blood alcohol. NOT GUILTY; set a date for trial – get his own lawyer in about 3
weeks.
U. DUI
V. DUI; waived trial for more than 45 days.
