Course Overview
Refine basic strokes and rescue techniques and develop open water skills and advanced
paddling strokes. Also includes leadership training and risk and group management.

For open water certification conditions must be 11 to 16 knots wind, 3 feet surf and 3
knots current.

Equipment
Every paddler needs to have a single kayak, spray skirt, PFD, helmet, paddle float, bilge
pump, sponge, spare paddle, tow cable, dressed for imersion (dry suit or wet suit),
paddling jacket, sun hat, sun glasses, dry bag with extra clothes.
