Their function is to sets policies to govern the AIS and assure top-management
participation, guidance, and control.

And also, attempts to encourage goal congruence and reduce goal conflict.

C. What steps would the development team take during the system analysis phase of
the project?
i) Initial investigation: Involves gathering the information needed to buy or
develop a new system and determining whether it is a priority.

ii) Systems survey: If the system is a priority, survey the existing system to define
the nature and scope of the project and identify the strengths and weaknesses of
the system.

iii) Feasibility study: Involves an in-depth study of the proposed system to determine
whether it’s feasible.

iv) Determination of information needs and system requirements: Involves


finding out and documenting what users and management need. This is the most
important aspect of systems analysis.

v) Delivery of systems requirements: Involves preparation of a report summarizing


the systems analysis work. This report is submitted to the information systems
steering committee.

D. What is one possible reason the server and data tapes were damaged?
The reason the serve and the tape where damaged is due to lack of internal control in the
company as a result of the lack of skills and knowledge of the company employees
ignorant of the system benefits i.e. making awareness of the system to the employees
(lack of technological know-how) .In addition, lack of efficient security for the system
and on employees work in the company is not provided in the company.
For a company to survive these problem to achieve its goal in the competitive market, it
has to provide good internal control and full and efficient security to its system.
