MORNING NOTE 23 SEP, 2010


MARKET INSIGHTS: On Wednesday Sep 22, 2010, The Indian markets have finally lost

their stem and declined after three straight days of gains and took a pause after scaling

seemed that the indices may not continue their bull run for yet another day but bucking

and opted to take profit off the table and the benchmarks, the BSE Sensex and the NSE

technology stocks were witnessing the maximum selling pressure while the metal and

consumer durables tried hard to keep the downside under control, but the bulls never

The broader indices too continued their sluggish trend and closed lower again. Finally
the markets closed with loss of about half a percent and half of the sectoral indices closing

The BSE Sensex shed 59.83 points or 0.30% to settle at 19,941.72 (provisional) while the
DIIs -974.0 -23% S&P CNX Nifty dipped 27.25 points or 0.45% to end at 5,981.80 (provisionally). The
BSE Sensex touched a high and a low of 20,105.54 and 19,804.02 respectively.
FII OPEN INTEREST (Crs) Chg (provisional). The main gainers in the BSE sectoral space were Consumer Durables
(CD) up 0.92%, Bankex up 0.37%, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) up 0.32%,
FII Index Futures 24074 -5.85%
Auto up 0.03% and Metal up 0.01%, while Realty down by 1.68%, Information
FII Index Options 89759 -0.75% Technology (IT) down by 1.44%, Oil and Gas down by 1.17%, TECk down by 1.12%
FII Stock Futures 40908 0.32% and Capital Goods (CG) down by 0.86% were main losers on the BSE. The BSE Mid-
cap and Small-cap indices slipped 0.39% and 0.26% respectively.

Asian markets finished on the mixed note on Wednesday. Hong Kong shares touched
a fresh five-month high led by the gains in property developers, while Japanese
World Indices Chg exporters fell as yen once again appreciated against dollar after the Federal Reserve
Dow Jones -100.00% said Tuesday it was ready to do more to recharge the US economy. Chinese, Taiwan
Nasdaq -100.00% and South Korean markets were shut today on account of public holidays. Jakarta
Composite declined 21.69 points or 0.64% to 3,343.34, KLSE Composite slipped 1.24
FTSE 100 -100.00% points or 0.08% to 1,474.75 and Nikkei 225 shed 35.79 points or 0.37% to 9,566.32. On
the flip side, Hang Seng gained 45.12 points or 0.21% to 22,047.71 and Straits Times
Commodity Chg added 0.71 points or 0.02% to 3,096.10.

TECHNICAL VIEW: well more of a tuned typed session we have gone through yesterday. Opened on a relatively higher
note domestic indices faced some selling pressures through out the day though we believe its just a modest sign of profit
booking. Though volumes little bit on lower side we believe domestic indices should cheers this moral victory in upcoming
sessions however technical indicators also suggest some over bought conditions in near term. Moreover such consistent
buying from global giants gives us a strong belief to rely on this rally. Hence any correction in near term should be used as a
