The scientist and researchers use this type of worm (Lumbriculus Variegatus) to test
the toxicity of certain sediments. The locomotory behavior of the adult worms both
normal and cloned was studied in a Biomonitor, along with growth and reproduction
to determine how the different sediment types may affect the worm. In this study
the type of sediment used was three different sizes of sand. In the large and
medium the worms didn’t reproduce or move as fast as the smaller sized sand.

This article helped me in the understanding of the worm and the effect of different
environments on the growth and reproduction of the worm.

The researchers said that they hypothesize that dextrose, being a hypertonic
solution, might be an ideal medium for IAP. This study evaluated the efficacy and
safety of dextrose 50 % for performing IAP.

This study helped me in understanding the different dextrose solution.
