Theft from Info Ctre Community
On Sept. 25 at 11pm, Merritt RCMP
and the fire department responded to a
fire alarm at the Visitor Info Centre, at
Hwy 97C & Hwy 5.
On attendance, it was determined
that several culprits had broken into the
Info Centre and used electrical equip-
ment to break into an on site ATM. The
suspects were able to get away with an
undisclosed amount of money.
The file is still under investigation
and Merirtt RCMP are requesting any-
one that may have been in the area
between 10:30pm and 11pm to please
contact them at Crime Stoppers 1-800-
222-8477, or at the Merritt detachment
