Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, Texas 75247. Upon arrival, officers found the complainant deceased inside of a vehicle. Officers met with witnesses who were transported to 1400 S. Lamar Street, Dallas, Texas 75215 Dallas Police Headquarters to meet with detectives. Detectives met with a witness and leamed that the complainant arrived in the area and was trying to purchase drugs. The complainant drove to a nearby motel and met with the suspect for a drug transaction. The complainant left the motel and arrived back at the QuickTrip and parked next to the gas pumps. The suspect arrived at the QuickTrip in a dark colored SUV and located the complainant inside of a vehicle. The suspect exited out of the SUV and fired several times at the complainant who drove away from the QuickTrip parking lot and collided into a construction site. The complainant was transported to an area hospital and was later pronounced deceased. The witness was able to Positively identify the suspect in a photo tine-up as the person who shot at the complainant while in the QuickTrip parking, lot.
