Define Chart of accounts

Most of the modules have

Go to query mode.
Enter – Application : General Ledger
Flexfield Title : Accountinf Flexfield
Execute

Insert a new row.

Enter a name for Code, Title, Description, View Name

Ex. SA1_Accounting_Flexfield in each field

Click segments:
In the window enter the following details.
A valueset needs to be defined for each of the segment. Click valueset

For accounting flex field, Format Type is always Char.

Save

Select the defined valueset from the lov for each segment
Select Qualifier
Company is balancing qualifier

Department is cost center qualifier

Account is Natural Account qualifier

Balancing segment and Natural Account qualifier are mendatory.

Press open on accounting flexfield window.

Check Security Enabled – this is in order to enable to apply security rules. This is with
regard to Responsibilities.
Check this for all three segments.

Cross Validate Segement

Disallow some combination of value of segements

Allow Dynamics Inserts.

Freeze Flexfield Definition – Once checked cannot make any changes to the structure.

Once Freezed, need to compile

Enable Currency
