• As we can see, it’s hard to reach the ATP require.
Fortunately, in the ATP document, it have additional
condition:

1.Stand call
• RXLEV > -70dBm
• MEAN_BEP>25
• no cell reselections
• Rxlev (Server) > RXLEV(1stneighbour)+10dB

2.Moving call:
• Rxlev > -70dBm and MEAN_BEP>25

DT problem solve

• The ftp download/upload rate is the only thing

we cared, if the rate not match the ATP require:

we should carefully check the testing

condition( for example: Moving call need Rxlev > -
70dBm and MEAN_BEP>25 ), if the basic info can’t
match, we should delete the unmatched log
path or test again.

resource check first

• Normal, we should check the wireless resource for

down/upload used.
 Firstly, we should check how many PDCH channel we used in
the down/upload ftp procedure.
 Secondly , we should check whether or not there exist multi-
user in one channel, as we know , if one channel used by many
user, the speed should be slow.
• For DT testing , we must confirm that in the EDGE
supported TRX, there must exist four continued PDCH
channel for DT testing using.

coding scheme check second

• We must using MSC/9 for match the ftp speed, if the C/I
and resource are match, but the coding scheme can’t
keep MCS/9 in most time, the ftp speed will no match.

Idle timeslot in BTS E1 is also a key for coding scheme,

as we all know, one MSC/9 need 3 idle timeslot, if there
are not enough idle timeslot, the coding scheme can’t
reach MCS/9

C/I check third

• If down/upload is still slow, we should check the

C/I first, we suggest the C/I should big than
23(for MCS/9 ) . How to improve the C/I , we can
getting some help from another ppt file.

moving call problem

If we can’t reach the 90kbps ftp download speed. Cell

reselect is also the main key problem. So, we should also
pay attention to the cell reselect.
When cell reselect happened, the flow will drop to zero , it’s
very clear more less cell reselect will lead to more fast
ftp speed. So, we can adding CRH to bigger value for
reduce cell reselect, but it will also cause bad C/I and
lower ftp speed if cell reselect not happened in time. In
fact , we should get the balance between them.
