 Benchmarking
 
(1) Comparing project practices with those of similar projects to provide a
standard by which to measure performance.

(2) Comparing organizational practices, procedures, and processes with those of

other organizations, whether in the same industry or not, to provide a standard
by which to measure performance.

(3) Conducting a test or tests on computer hardware, software, or

telecommunications equipment to determine whether it meets certain
requirements.
