1. Issue 1: Meeting with Jane Archibald. Under Murrindindi Shire Council (MSC)
Community Funds ($128000 apportioned to Flowerdale). The CRCs in each area have
been asked to come up with projects and events suitable for use for their communities.
There are three possible options to date:
Suggestion to support the RAV launch of Illuminated by Fire project by Sharon Collins.
This would include a fully catered Grand Opening.
ACTION: Pete and John to write the application.
The Flowerdale Historical Imagery Archive Project has been granted $10000 to build
the archive website through the 175 History Grants, applied for on her behalf by the
FRC. FRC supports Samm applying for funds to carry out the archiving of photos and
docs. Project to be managed by the committee of a community-based incorporate.
ACTION: Pete and John to write the application form.
Third project re submission from Yea High School (YHS) through Jane at MSC re:
Community Recovery Committee (CRC) support from Flowerdale Kinglake & Melba
CRCS to co-sponsor 22 kids 4 support staff & 2 teachers to donate $6000 each. John
tabled document V216: Application from YHS. The FRC unanimously agreed that this
project is vital for the children at YHS, which caters directly for many Flowerdale
teenagers. This donation also supports the FRC commitment to Youth as evidenced
by the securing of Darley funds for Youth workers in Flowerdale, Kinglake and
Marysville
Issue 2: Ric mentioned that a neighbouring property had requested a colorbond fence
be erected between their property and Recreation Reserve to ensure privacy. The FRC
think this should be done.
3. Fire Safety Work Engine. Michelle Braid asked who the Work Engine was and what the
$50,000 was going to be spent on.
4. Tomorrow: Meeting with Steve Gore at Tennis Club re new courts. John to attend. The
current issue is ensuring the correct footings and foundations for the new courts.

6. Frequency of Meetings: This year 2010, the FRC has been meeting fortnightly.
However, with the date of winding up of the FRC getting closer. The Committee has
resolved to bring our meetings back to weekly meeting.
