This adapter allows for the fitting of an auxiliary oil cooler to vehicles with DP0 or AL4 transmissions, which are known to run hot. Research has shown the auxiliary cooler provides around a 20% reduction in transmission running temperature. The adapter is installed by removing the existing heat exchanger and connecting the auxiliary cooler hoses using the original bolts and o-rings, then reconnecting the heater hoses to bypass the original heat exchanger.

Simply remove the existing Heat Exchanger, re-using the
original Banjo bolt and ‘O’ rings will allow the connection of the Auxiliary Cooler hoses. Then re-fit the heater hoses to by-pass the original heat exchanger.
