day. So how do they do it? Let’s look a little further.

Fanpages and What They are Good For

You may already think you know what exactly a fan page is, but your views are about to
change. Fanpages are the real money makers. Some can be successful with them and some
cannot. Here are a few things to remember when considering a fanpage:

- When you post an update, it will be posted on all the walls of all your fans
- Some fanpages have gotten 1million fans in a single day

Imaging being able to send a message to 1million people! The possibilities are literally
endless. You can even promote a new page with your original one. Keep in mind though that
getting 1million fans that fast is very unlikely. However, if your fanpage is catchy enough you
will gain a decent amount of fans fairly quickly.
 So how do we create a killer fanpage? Well we need to get the fanpage’s feet off the
ground first. Which brings us to:

Adding Friends

One of the most important parts in your Facebook marketing career. This can be very
time consuming, so feel free to purchase accounts with friends already loaded on the accounts. I
highly recommend purchasing accounts if you are just starting off so you can jump right into
making money. Otherwise, you will have to manually add friends.

First of all we have some options when adding friends. We can choose to target our
friends but searching for a certain niche or simply just adding people. We can also go to large
pages and post an add me message. This is usually done on Farmville, Mafia Wars, etc... pages.
Keep in mind though that lots of these people are on fake accounts and your conversions will be
much lower.
A very important thing to remember – if you send a certain amount of friend requests in
one day your account will get deleted. I have heard that the golden number is 45, but I
recommend between 10-25/day at MAX. This way your accounts will stay safe. On the other
hand, you can ACCEPT as many friend requests as you want.

Making Your First Fanpage

Alright so you have some friends and now you want to get started. There are a few things
which really make a fanpage go viral. Always remember to put yourself in the shoes of the
Facebook user. No one wants to become a fan of some stupid thing they’ve never heard of. Make
a page with a title that many people can relate to. Something catchy or possibly funny. Also
remember to check if it has been done before.

If you don’t know how to make a fanpage, it’s simple. Goto any fanpage and scroll down.
In the bottom left corner you see a link to make your own fanpage. When you make your
fanpage make sure you DO NOT MAKE IT A COMMUNITY PAGE! This will render the entire
fanpage pretty much useless because community pages cannot post to their fans walls, which is
what we want. So go ahead and make a business page.

So your page is made, how do you get fans now? Simple, invite all of your friends! There
is a very easy way to invite all of your friends. Simply click on the suggest to friends link on
your page and copy and paste the following code into your browser’s address bar (where you
enter a website).

Hit enter once you have pasted the code into your browser. All of your friends will be
magically selected . Now send the requests! Make sure you do this a few times to make sure all
of your friends get the request. Now you can also post a link to your fanpage on other pages. Or
another way is to buy status updates or invites to your page. It usually costs $15 for 10k invites.

Conclusion

Don’t give up! I have seen a lot of people, including myself, give up just before they
strike gold. The more you try the more you learn. Every time you do something the wrong way
you are one step closer to the right way. Also, stop asking so many questions and test things out
for yourself. The less time you spend asking questions and reading and the quicker you start
getting things done, the faster you will start making some money.

Q: What is the difference between a fanpage and agroup?

A: Fanpages are preferred because they when you post a status update it gets posted to all of
your fans walls. On a group you can only send messages to their mail. You can also add
applications to your fanpage, but not to a group.

Q: What are these “auto-like”, “CTRL+C”, etc... scripts that I am hearing about?

A: These scripts can help make a page go viral very fast but forcing people to invite all of their
friends. However, these scripts will usually get your page deleted and your account banned fairly

Q: My account got banned! What did I do? Can I get it back?

A: Your account may have gotten banned for a variety of reasons. Make sure you are adding
friends slowly and steadily. Also make sure that if you are using a bot or program like
Facewizard to set a delay between requests. Always try to stay under the radar as best as
possible. As for getting your account back, you’re pretty much screwed.
