Backround:
Unsaturated fats are better than saturated fats because
unsaturated fats are healthier for you. Fats have nine calories.
Purpose:
We are doing this lab to test out fats that are good for us
or that are not good for us.
Materials:
Food, Scale, Graduate cylinder
Procedure:
1. Weight empty beaker
2. Record your data
3. Pour ace tone in dish
4. Weight ace tone
5. Record it
6. Do it all over again
Food % Fat
Snickers 30%
Chocolate chip cookies 24%
Granola bar 70%
Potato chips
Conclusion: Unfortunately I wasn’t present on the day my
class did the lab but based on my class data. The chocolate
chip cookies had the least fat and the granola bar had the
most fat which is very surprising because I’d think
chocolate would have a lot of fat and a granola bar seems
healthy. I expected snickers to have the most fat because
it is a common junk food and it contains many ingredients
that have fat in it.
