Washington, D.C. – London Program Budget

The budget below is an estimation of costs. The program and housing fees below do not take into consideration any
financial arrangements your college or university may have with The Washington Center, or financial assistance.
Please contact your campus liaison or The Washington Center for school-specific information.

Directions: Use the estimated costs below to complete the budget worksheet on the second page of this document. We
encourage you to take these estimates to your financial aid office and campus liaison to determine what, if any, assistance may
be available. You might be eligible for more financial aid than you currently receive if the cost of studying abroad is higher
than your costs at your home institution. It is important to begin this process as soon as possible. Financial assistance may also
be available from The Washington Center. Please visit http://www.twc.edu/internships/intern-abroad/fees-expenses for
more information.

The fees for this program include*:

All academic components of the program (courses, lectures, etc.) in Washington and London
Assistance in the facilitation of credit awarded by the student’s home institution (student should initiate the arrangement prior
to arrival)
Most seminar activities
Internship placement
Housing in both Washington, D.C. and London in fully furnished flats (apartments)
Basic insurance (you can elect to purchase supplemental insurance)
Staff assistance during the pre-departure process
A farewell dinner at the end of the Washington, D.C. seminar
A subsidized public transportation card during the seminar (covers partial fees)
Transportation to the airport in D.C. and to the housing in London (if group travel is used)
On-site staff assistance in London
Welcome and farewell receptions in London
