DRAMA REFLECTION

In the first class, we talked about how humor can be used effectively in the classroom.
We saw that humor is a powerful way to get attention and make fun. As all of us
know learning takes place best when it is enjoyable. Also, humor is one of basic needs
such as freedom and survival. We discussed whether a teachr should make use of fun in
order to be successful in teaching. However, we couldn’t come to a conclusion of it.
Humor provides opportunities for students and teachers to speak on the same language
by breaking the barriers. Moreover, humor in the classroom encourages students to
speak more and use the language in a comfortable atmosphere. On the other hand, it
can be dangerous when people do not know their limits. The usage of humor in the
classroom must be neither exaggerating nor little. Thanks to humor, students experience
life and the subject in a funny way.

In the second class, we had a look at usage of cartoons in the classroom. For my name,
people can watch cartoons in an eager and curious way however old they are. They can
be used for many purposes like introducing the topic, catching attention and sooothing
difficult situations.

Lastly, we tried to convey some messages, instructions written on the board in an


opposite way. In other words, we made what we say conflict with what our bodies say to
show contrasting messages. Even, some of us acted it out on the stage, in the middle of
the class.
