Viña del Mar

Viña del Mar is a big-sized city. It is


located 112 kilometers north of
Santiago.
It is a very modern seaside city.
It has hotels, a big mall, banks,
cinemas, theaters, restaurants,
stadiums and shops.

You can see the most important music festival of the


year in Latin America, the
Festival Internacional de
la Canción de Viña del Mar
and the tennis
tournament, the Movistar
Open.

You can’t miss the Reloj de Flores


(Flower Clock). It was inaugurated on
May 15th, 1962. It is across from the
beach Caleta Abarca.

You can visit the Teatro Municipal de Viña


del Mar. It is a center of cultural and
artistic shows. It is across from the Plaza
de Viña (Viña square).
You can go to the Casino de Viña del Mar.
It is a modern and a new gambling casino.

You can visit the Quinta Vergara


Park. It has beautiful flowers and
big trees. It is a very quiet place.
The Museo Municipal de Bellas
Artes (Municipal Museum of
Beautiful Arts) is in the park.

Do you like the sea? Viña del Mar is famous for its long and beautiful beaches.
You can swim in the Pacific Ocean and sunbathe on a summer day.
