Unsolicited résumés received in the mail

"Try and fail, but don't fail to try." is a well-known phrase that means that it is worse not to
try than not trying at all. I think the case of unsolicited résumés received in the mail is an
example that suits this phrase; this essay will be about this topic.

Some people would say that unsolicited mail usually ends up in the garbage, and it might
be true, however, I have read about Human Resources specialists that believe it is better
to receive this type of résumés via regular mail over than the one people send through
email. Some people actually keep a file with unsolicited résumés that could easily be used
for future vacancies if they are rejected at the time they are sent.

Another key element for unsolicited résumés to be successful is to have it delivered by

someone known by the company, and suggestions in order to do this is through social
networking in order to find out if someone you know is in touch with the company you are
interest in, or with someone else that is.

In case there is no way to find a contact to walk in an unsolicited résumé, a suggestion is

to at least make a call to the company in order to find out who the responsible of
receiving résumés is to make this person know, a résumé will be received soon.
