Dear Mayor:

This is the committee meeting schedule that will be

held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in the City Council
Chambers. All Council committee meetings shall begin at
4:00 p.m. unless otherwise designated.
Legal Committee Meeting at 4:00 p.m.

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing

the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental
agreements with any Louisiana governmental entity
seeking to make purchases utilizing a City of Alexandria
bid contract.

Personnel Committee Meeting at4:15 p.m. or

immediately following

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending

2010-2011 operating budget adding a Clerical
Specialist in General Government.
Public Works/Zoning Committee Meeting at 4:30 p.m.
or immediately following

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance to amend the

Land Development Code, Article VII “nonconformities”
to amend Section 28-7.1 relative to powers of the
Board of Adjustment and Appeals to grant special
exceptions; to amend and reenact Section 28-7.7 with
respect to repairs; and to add Section 28-7.8 to provide
for restatement of nonconforming use status by special
exception by the Board of Adjustment and Appeals.

2. To hear a report from the Administration in reference to

a request for professional design of Parks and
Recreation Operations Building.

Please have your staff note the change in format for the
committee meeting done in compliance with R. S. 42.7.
The Council has directed that the City Clerk may advise
the public of scheduling regarding committee meetings. It
is always that the intention of the Council to convene
committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior
committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting
may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public.
Have appropriate members from your Administration
present for discussion.
