Y AXIS: PRINCIPAL.
INDIAN MYTHOLOGY AND MANAGMENT

LESSONS FROM RAMAYAN AND MAHABHARAT:

X AXIS: RULES,

Ramayana is from tritya yug and Mahabharata is from dvapar yug.Tritya Yug is
considered as most innocent Yug because rules were made during that
period, dvapar Yug is more darker yug as many rules were broken (slightly more
corrupt), it is considered to be later part of an organization.

In Ramayana Rules are upheld and principal are upheld thus (+, +) territory of
matrix, so we have RAM, so ram is considered to be maryada purshottam. Shri
RAM is only god who was a king and always thinks of others .Shri ram is ideal
leader who leads from front. In Ramayana everything is for others even at cost of
one self, it is not achievement which makes ram worthy of worship it his
sacrifice which makes him worthy. Opposite to ram is Ravan no principal, no
rule(-,-) territory of matrix, losing everything for self motives, a manager of this
kind will incur losses for orgnisation and ultimately personal losses, like ravan lost
his brothers, son and entire empire to shri ram for personal motives.

KRISHNA on other hand always bending rules breaking rules but principal are
intact i.e always for the others, so he lies in (-, +) territory of matrix. Krishna is
considered to be the best manager, he applies all his tactics to succeed, Krishna is
ultimate coach he’s hoping pandavas to become like ram but they don’t they
gamble away their king-dome due to which a whole lot bood shead happens.
Coach can only provide guidance its on one self how they take knowledge.
Krishna was Sarthe to arjun, he provided constant knowledge to arjun preaching
him principals (dharma) and rules.

In Mahabharata Duryodhana was the eldest son of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari.

He fought bitterly with the Pandavas for the throne of Hastinapur, his rules were
intact but always violating principals, he’s always holding letter of law never
spirit of law.

EVOLUTION OF LEADERSHIP:

In early phases of an organization manager should be like PARSHURAM, strict

abide by rules and regulation, he’s like strict teacher he punishes you to break the
rules. In later part of an organization manager should be like RAM who hopes by
being model of sacrifice people will understand meaning of sacrifice. He leads by
examples, and eventually becomes KRISHNA where he should attempt to explore
more, and finally he should withdraw like lord BUDDHA.
